FAVORABLE APPELLATE DECISIONS
In a recent case, Mr. Horwitz won an appeal in U.S. Court of Appeals which resulted in the reversal of a 24 year sentence. In September of 2003, Mr. Horwitz successfully appealed the conviction of Tampa real estate developer C. Hayward Chapman on corruption charges. The case was remanded with instructions to dismiss the charges.
The Supreme Court of the State of Florida appointed Mr. Horwitz to the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases, where he served from 1995 to 2003. He has appealed cases in both state and federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States.
